FAQ

How it works

  1. Upload a PDF.
  2. Type the repeated watermark text, or switch to Image or logo to select a separate image object.
  3. Run the cleanup.
  4. Compare the original and cleaned pages.
  5. Download the cleaned PDF once it looks right.

Questions

What does PDF Watermark Remover do?
It removes visible watermark text and certain overlay-style marks from PDF files, then returns a processed PDF for review and download.
What kind of watermarks does it work on?
Repeated, visible text marks such as CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT that exist as text in the PDF. Results depend on how the original PDF was produced.
Is every watermark removable?
No. Marks baked into scan pixels are not supported. Text that behaves like ordinary page content is left alone. A small, separate image object can be selected, previewed and removed, but it may be legitimate content rather than a watermark: review both versions carefully.
Can I remove a logo from a scanned PDF?
Only when the logo is a separate, supported image object rather than part of the scan's pixels. Image or logo mode edits one selected occurrence, not all similar images. Its first version accepts PDFs up to 5MB and 32 pages and refuses large page images, cropped or rotated pages, and unsupported PDF structures. Your original is unchanged, and download requires preview and confirmation.
Should cleaned documents still be reviewed?
Yes. Every cleaned PDF should be checked visually before publication, filing, or redistribution.
Does it support an API?
Yes. The service includes API documentation, Swagger UI, ReDoc, and an OpenAPI document for programmatic use.
